Gerber Products Company is recalling packages of one of its powdered infant formulas, the company has announced.

The baby food maker is recalling the 23.2-ounce plastic packages of its Gerber Good Start Gentle powdered infant formula from batch GXP1684 with the expiration date of March 5, 2013.

The product poses no health risk, according to Gerber's statement, but some consumers have complained about a foul odor and even gastrointestinal problems.

The company is offering a replacement to those who have purchased the product, which is limited to the specific manufacturing code.
