Santa Clara Co. Sheriff's Dept.

The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help with a child pornography investigation involving a man who used to work at local schools.

The sheriff's office reported that James Carroll, 59, is the subject of an investigation for the possession and manufacturing of child  pornography.

Carroll has reportedly worked at several Santa Clara schools, both private and public, though the sheriff's office declined to specify which. He also reportedly used to have been active in youth ministries, youth counseling, and he used to do work at local churches.

The sheriff's office released the information to determine if there are other victims who may have had contact with Carroll without reporting it to law enforcement officials.

Anyone with information regarding Carroll is asked to contact  Detective Tony Hickman with the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office's Sexual Assault Unit at 408-808-4500.
