The body of a 91-year-old woman was found in a trash can outside her home in Dublin Wednesday night, police said.
Police are investigating the incident as a homicide.

The woman, whose name has not yet been released, was found wrapped in plastic, according to police. The body was found in the 7700 block of Peppertree Drive.

Police said there are three people being held in custody and a 3-year-old girl who lives at the home has been placed in protective services.

Police were called to the home about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday after a neighbor reported hearing arguing there.

Officers were at the home through the night collecting evidence.

The Contra Costa Times reported that two Alameda County Sheriff's K-9 units were at the home Thursday morning

Neighbors told the paper that the woman's name was Selma "Sally" Hill and that she had lived at the home for more than 40 years. She lived at the home with her grandson and great granddaughter, the paper reported.
