Facebook Hits $60 Billion Valuation Mark

It's been a good week for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Not only was he named Time's Person of the Year but his company's valuation rose about 20 percent from just two weeks ago.

SharePost placed a valuation on the Social Network of $60 billion. And the San Francisco-based company would have a pretty good idea of what Facebook is worth.

The company and SecondMarket are two of the very few firms that sell private stocks from some of tech's hottest companies, such as Facebook and Twitter, to the outside world.

Both firms how regular auctions that help them determine how much a private company's stock is worth.

Facebook's shares are currenly selling for about $25 a share, according to SharePost.
