San Francisco Nightclub Shooting Leads to Another Suspension

A fatal shooting at Jelly’s Dance Café in San Francisco this past weekend has sparked city officials to temporarily suspend the club’s entertainment license as an investigation continues.

The owners of Jelly’s agreed to the temporary closure of the club after Sunday morning’s dispute between two guests turned deadly.

The shooting happened at 1:30 a.m. at a birthday party the club hosted, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The victim, 39-year-old Lee Farley, of Richmond, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he died two hours later.

Farley and another man had argued inside the club, and after the two took it outside, Farley was shot once in the chest. The suspect fled the scene.

No arrests have been made.  There were several witnesses, but none have come forward police say.
