San Jose: Alum Rock Park Closed Again Due to High Temperatures, Fire Danger

Alum Rock Park in San Jose will be closed Tuesday due to high temperatures and fire danger, park officials said.

The emergency closure was activated to reduce or eliminate the potential for fire-related emergencies in Alum Rock Park, park officials said.

The park was closed Sunday and Monday as well, although it is always closed on Mondays.

Temperatures in the park hit 98 degrees Monday at 2 p.m., with 22 percent humidity.

Residents can call 408-259-5477 to receive an updated status on the park's opening.
