Oakland police are investigating a fatal shooting in East Oakland Wednesday evening.
Police received multiple calls at 4:11 p.m. reporting a shooting at 70th and Weld streets.
Arriving officers and medical personnel found a male victim with a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The shooting remains under investigation.
