    A man was shot near Berkeley's San Pablo Park on Saturday evening, according to police. Peggy Bunker reports. (Published Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015)

    A man was shot near Berkeley's San Pablo Park on Saturday evening, according to police.

    Dispatchers received several 911 calls at about 6:40 p.m., with callers reporting gunshots in the area.

    Police found a male victim suffering from a bullet wound on the 1300 block of Russell Street, on the south side of the park, according to police.

    The victim was hospitalized, police said.
