11-Year-Old Girl Shot in SF

An 11-year-old girl was shot in San Francisco late Friday night, police said.

Police responded to the 1100 block of Laguna Street at around 11:15 p.m. on reports of shots fired.

One of the bullets in the shooting penetrated a nearby apartment building, police said.

Officers found a girl suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest and she was taken to San Francisco

General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Police said the suspects were described as a group of juvenile black males.

Officers have detained a group of young black males but no arrests have been made, police said.

The police department's criminal investigation unit and gang task force are investigating the incident.
