A San Francisco mother who injected her 8-year-old daughter with botox at a beauty pageant has reportedly lost custody of the girl.
Kerry Campbell made national headlines when she went on ABC's "Good Morning America" to defend her decision to inject her daugther with botox ahead of a beauty competition.
Friday the San Francisco Human Services Agency took notice of the interview and launched an investigation into the situation.
"It's pretty unusual for a mom to be injecting an 8-year-old with botox and certainly is grounds for an investigation," Trent Rohrer of the San Francisco Human Services Agency told ABC News.
Campbell's daughter was reportedly removed from her mother's custody for the time being.
The investigation is ongoing and few details were revealed.
