Man Fatally Shot in SF Friday Night

On Thursday, Hal G. Brown, Deputy Director of the Delaware Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, identified the skull as Timothy Finamore of Newark.

A 25-year-old man was shot and killed in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood late Friday night, police said.

Gary Smith, a San Francisco resident, was found by arriving offers lying on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police received reports of the shooting around 11:10 p.m. Friday in the first block of 6th Street, according to police.

No arrests have been made in connection with the murder and no suspect information was immediately available.
