Firefighters battled a 2-acre brush fire in East San Jose on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was reported about 4:45 p.m. near Oakland Road, not far from the San Jose Municipal Golf Course.
Crews said no homes or businesses were threatened.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames rather quickly, but they remained on the scene afterwards to watch for flare-ups.
