The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting two earthquakes this evening in the area of San Juan Bautista, about 7 miles west of Hollister, of magnitude 4.2 and 3.8.
The first, smaller quake was reported at 10:21 p.m., and the second, larger quake at 10:26 p.m., according to U.S.G.S. officials.
Initial reports online suggest the quakes were felt in parts of the South Bay.
