2 Men Charged After Failed Arms Deal, Shooting in Richmond

Authorities said the two men and a third suspect had arranged to sell firearms to an undercover ATF agent in a restaurant parking lot on Wednesday.

Two men are facing assault charges in connection with an undercover sting in Richmond during which federal agents shot and wounded a third man.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that 18-year-old Khusar Mobley and 23-year-old Otis Mobley were charged in federal court this week.

Authorities say the two men and a third suspect had arranged to sell firearms to an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in a restaurant parking lot on Wednesday.

Other ATF agents who were observing the transaction moved in and shot the third suspect after authorities say one of the men pulled a gun.

The suspect was wounded and remains hospitalized. He has not been identified.

Authorities say two weapons were recovered from the scene.
