    Two people sustained life-threatening injuries when a Toyota Prius and pickup truck collided, Monday, Feb. 15, 2016.

    Two people sustained life-threatening injuries when a pair of cars rammed into each other Monday in the South Bay.

    A Toyota Prius and pickup truck were involved in a head-on collision near McKean and Fortini roads just south of San Jose, in unincorporated Santa Clara County, around 9:40 a.m., police said.

    It wasn’t immediately clear whether those who were injured were driving or in the passenger seat.

    The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
