2 Shot in Santa Rosa Jewelry Store Robbery

An employee of Bennett Valley Jewelers in Santa Rosa suffered gunshot injuries during an armed robbery Thursday afternoon but is expected to survive, police Sgt. Brad Conners said.

A suspect in the robbery also was shot and is being treated at a hospital for life-threatening injuries, Conners said.

Santa Rosa police and the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office were searching for additional suspects that should be considered armed and dangerous, Conners said. The search was called off by Thursday evening.

One of the suspects is described as a male adult in his early to mid-20s with a large build. He was last seen wearing a white and blue plaid shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. He also may have been
injured during the robbery, Conners said.

Police found an unoccupied red Ford Mustang that is associated with the suspects a quarter-mile away from the robbery at 2700 Yulupa Ave., Conners said. The vehicle was reported stolen in Livermore.

Anyone who sees the suspects is urged to call 911, Conners said.
