2-Year-Old Struck by Car in San Jose

A 2-year-old was taken to the hospital on Monday after the boy was struck by a car in San Jose, police said.

The injury was reported about 11:15 a.m. at Midpine and McLaughlin avenues. Sgt. Heather Randol said the boy had serious injuries, but they have been classified as "non life threatening" at this time.

The driver remained at the scene and coooperated with authorities. There is no indication of drugs or alcohol.

Randol said it appears as though the toddler wandered into the street when he was struck.
