San Jose police are investigating the drowning of a 4-year-old boy.

At around 5:40 p.m. Friday, emergency crews responded to the County Fair mobile home park at 270 Umbarger Road for a report of a non-responsive boy that had been in the community pool, officials said.

The boy was found at the bottom of the pool by two people, who performed CPR until paramedics arrived on scene.

The child was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It is unknown at this time how long the boy was in the pool before he was found.

Authorities are not releasing the child's identity pending coroner notifications.

No foul play is suspected in this incident and police are not releasing any further information at this time.
