4-Alarm Fire at Tire Warehouse Injures 2

A four-alarm fire at a tire warehouse injured two people and damaged six businesses in Antioch Tuesday afternoon.

Two people sustained burn injuries, fire Capt. Robert Marshall said.

The fire was reported around 4 p.m. at Blue Star Tires at 2665 Pittsburg-Antioch Highway, fire Capt. Robert Marshall said.

Marshall said around 5:15 p.m. that firefighters were battling the blaze defensively, from the outside.

"We're not putting any firefighters into the building because it's too dangerous," he said.

The fire was under control around 6:15 p.m., Marshall said.
