3 Shot in 2 San Francisco Shootings

Three people were shot in two separate shootings within a few blocks of each other in San Francisco, including a double shooting at a bus stop.

The first shooting was reported Monday just before 9 p.m. in the 1400 block of Treat Avenue near the corner of Folsom and Cesar Chavez. A victim was shot in front of a residence there, and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

A double-shooting a few blocks away was reported about 11:45 p.m. when two men, described to be 36 and in his 50s, were shot at a bus stop on corner of 24th and Mission streets, police said.

Police believe the younger man might have been the target. He was shot groin and was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The older man, who police believe was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, was shot in the chest and transported with non-life threatening injuries. Two cars in the area were also hit by stray bullets.

Police said they are looking for at least two suspects. There are three cameras in the area that police will review from BART, Muni and the city.
