3-Year-Old From East Bay Rushed to Hospital Following Dentist Appointment

A trip to the doctor turned into a matter of life and death on Saturday when a 3-year-old girl in the East Bay was unable to wake up in a dentist chair.

San Ramon police said that dispatch received a call shortly after 10:30 a.m. from a dental office located in a medical office complex at 111 Deerwood Road. According to the report, the 3-year-old was in Dentabliss’ suite 170, but wouldn’t respond to numerous attempts to wake her up.

Emergency responders scrambled to get the girl to a hospital, where she was admitted, but updates on her condition were unavailable pending notification of family members. It’s unclear whether the girl had been under anesthesia or what procedure was underway.

Dr. Amanda Dang, the tenant for suite 170, has a current dental license with no previous disciplinary actions against it. Dang also possesses a General Anesthesia permit.
