4 Men Ransack Fremont Home, Rip Gold Necklace Off Woman

Fremont police are looking for four men who broke into a home by kicking in a door and robbing a woman at gunpoint - even ripping her gold necklace off her neck. And part of their escape was caught on surveillance video.

The 27-year-old woman told police her home on Armour Way was ransacked on Wednesday about 5:20 p.m.

When she heard knocking on her door, she fled to her bedroom, locked the door and then called her brother, who called 911. Police said the woman is not originally from the United States and didn't think to call police first because she is not familiar with the 911 system.

After the men were inside her home, police said they eventually headed to the bedroom, and held the woman at gun- and knifepoint, demanding all her cash and jewelry.  When she tried to remove her jewelry, police said the men got frustrated and ripped a gold chain from her neck.

The suspects also took small electronics from the home, and fled in a mid-2000 Infinity SUV or similar, silver or grey in color.  Some of that escape was caught on video surveillance.

Here's how the suspects were described:

  • Suspect  1 – Black male adult, grey hoodie, dark colored pants and shoes, 5’10 – 6’, medium build, armed with a black handgun.
  • Suspect  2 – Black male adult, dark grey hoodie, dark colored pants and shoes, 5’10”, 200lbs.
