44th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival

The Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival, celebrates its 44th year.

The 44th annual Cherry Blossom Festival kicks off this year on Saturday and Sunday, April 9-10 and April 16-17.

The festival is expected to attract over 200,000 people, says the Examiner.

The fest, which showcases Japanese culture, is held on Post Street between Laguna and Fillmore Streets, in downtown San Francisco.

The Grand Parade will be held on April 17, beginning at the  Civic Center at 1:00 p.m. and ending in Japantown.

Expect lots of food, cultural performances, martial arts, live bands and the annual Queen Program.
