Jed York: Ready for a Parade on Market Street

As the nephew of legendary San Francisco 49ers' owner Eddie DeBartolo and son of John and Denise DeBartolo York, Jed York has inherited a football dynasty. And in his nearly six years as president and now CEO, he has led the team to its current home, the $1.3 billion state of the art Levi’s Stadium.

And in no way do his aspirations end there. Of the impressive new facility, he says, “getting there was nice but we’re ready for a parade on Market Street. Ultimately, the Super Bowl victory is really what we’re after."

When tough and challenging decisions come along, he relishes the fact that his Uncle Eddie is just a phone call away.

York talks about some of those challenges, like molding the organization into a regional franchise, able to serve its fans in Santa Clara, San Francisco and beyond.

He’s also looking ahead to hosting Super Bowl 50 and how he hopes this will be the first of many Super Bowls taking place at Levi’s Stadium.
