49ers Get Trade Happy in NFL Draft

Team stockpiles picks for next year's draft.

The San Francisco 49ers have gotten into the trading game.

After making picks in the first two rounds of this year's NFL Draft, the 49ers traded traded their first draft pick of the fourth round to the Miami Dolphins.

San Francisco received the Dolphin's fourth-round pick (103rd overall), a sixth-round pick (196th overall) and a sixth-round pick in next year's draft.

The 49ers then traded the pic to the Carolina Panthers for their sixth-round pick and next year's third-round pick.

The 49ers now possess 11 picks in next year's draft. The 49ers acquired a seventh-round pick from the Bengals in the Taylor Mays trade and a fifth-round pick from the Colts in Friday's trade.

On day three of the draft, the 49ers selected Wake Forest guard Joe Looney in the fourth round, Notre Dame outside linebacker Darius Fleming in the fifth round.
