Up to seven vehicles were caught up in fiery collision Tuesday morning along Interstate Highway 880 in San Leandro, closing the freeway for two hours and injuring two – one critically.
All lanes opened on northbound 880 at Davis Street just before 5:30 a.m. following the 3:30 a.m. accident, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Alameda County Fire Department tweeted out a mangled car involved in the crash and the patient list: One person suffered critical injuries, another has moderate injuries and five people declined medical treatment.
