An Alaska Airlines plane had to return to San Jose International Airport shortly after takeoff Monday morning to make an emergency landing.

Flight 837 took off just after 9 a.m. from SJC headed for Honolulu, but it had to return soon after takeoff when the pilot reported circuit problems.

One-hundred-forty people were on board the Boeing 737, including the crew.

No one was hurt.
