Alleged Armored Car Thief Suspected in Two Heists

Daring thief suspected of robbing multiple money wagons.

The haul was so good, he had to try an armored car again -- when the police nabbed him.

Monico Dominguez, 39, is charged with robbing a Garda Armored Car Services vehicle on Aug. 11, 2011. He was allegedly planning a second heist on Aug. 6 of this year, when police arrested him and two accomplices in raids, according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

Dominguez and accomplices Juan Dominguez, 26, and Shawn Geernaert, 33, all of Santa Rosa, are now facing life in prison, the newspaper reported.

Police have been near-silent about the alleged heists, the newspaper reported. All publicly available information was gleaned from charging documents.

The heists are alleged to have occurred at Garda's main facility on Northpoint Parkway in Santa Rosa, the newspaper reported.

It is unknown how much loot the men escaped with, the newspaper reported, nor is it known how cops got wind of the second planned heist and arrested the suspects.
