A Friday-morning Amber Alert has been lifted after Oakland Police determined there shouldn't have even been one in the first place.
A woman accused Kim Tolefree, 56, of striking her with a firearm and intentionally ramming her vehicle with his, then fleeing the scene with their 18-month-old daughter.
When Tolefree found out he was wanted, he turned himself in and revealed the couple doesn't have a child. The allegations were made up, according to Oakland Police, which also determined the woman and Tolefree did have a domestic dispute.
