Prior to winning the 2009 crown, Prejean has been a member of the San Diego Padres' Pad Squad as well as as a finalist for a case model on "Deal or No Deal." Carrie even modeled for E! Entertainment at the Academy Awards.

Southern California's Miss California USA, Carrie Prejean, celebrated with family and friends in El Cajon before heading off to compete for the national crown.
Her family is hosted a "Sweet Sunday Send Off" party with her close friends and family. She also modeled the gowns and other outfits she'll be wearing in the competition.
Prejean is now heading off to represent the state at the 58th Annual Miss USA competition, which will be shown on NBC on April 19.
