Andronico's Closing Telegraph Avenue Store

Company continues to make changes as it deals bankruptcy.

Over 80 years ago Frank Andronico probably could not have imagined his family would one day own grocery stores across the Bay Area.

Three generations later, and still owned by the family, Andronico's is closing down another supermarket after feeling the pinch of touch economic times.

The Albany-based grocer announced that it will close its Telegraph Avenue store in Berkeley soon.

This after Andronico's has shut down University Avenue store in September, in July its Palo Alto store shut down and in 2006 Andronico's closed its Walnut Creek and Danville locations.

The company is restructuring after filing for bankruptcy in August and being purchased by Renovo Capital.
