Apple Announces Special Event Slated For March 25 at Its HQ

Apple announced Monday it will hold its next special event later this month, offering the tagline: "It's showtime."

The event is slated for 10 a.m. March 25 at Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, marking the first time Apple has used the venue for an event that won't include an iPhone announcement, according to 9to5Mac.

The tech giant is expected to unveil a streaming TV service featuring original content, according to CNBC, as well as a revised edition of its subscription news service Apple News.

Apple News will include a bundle of subscriptions from major news outlets on a monthly plan, based on Texture, the so-called Netflix for magazines app the company acquired in 2018, according to reports.

CNBC also reported there's a chance Apple will unveil new hardware, as rumors about new iPads have been circulating.
