Arrest Made in Stabbing Death of Woman in San Francisco

San Francisco police have arrested a 59-year-old man on suspicion of fatally stabbing a woman on Sunday.

According to a statement, police believe Eugene Bell, of San Francisco, struck the 63-year-old victim around 4:45 p.m. on the 2600 block of California Street in Pacific Heights.

The woman, although rushed to a hospital, did not survive her wounds, police said.

Investigators identified Bell as a suspect in the homicide. He was taken into custody and is being held at San Francisco County jail.
