The San Jose Metro Area is joining the Honolulu area as the only ones in the U.S. to feature an Asian majority.

The Bay Citizen reports that U.S. census figures found that the 33 percent of the San Jose metro area's population is Asian, 30 percent is Hispanic, 30 percent is white, and three percent is African-American.

The government includes Sunnyvale and Santa Clara in the San Jose metro area.
