Autopsy Shows Nursing Student Was Stabbed to Death

Phuong Le, a Suisun City nursing student whose body was found in early May, died from a stab wound to the chest, according to an autopsy report.

An autopsy on Le was performed on May 10 at the Solano County Coroner's Office.

Le, 25, disappeared in late April. Her brother found her car in the parking lot of a Barnes & Noble bookstore in Fairfield the next day and the family called police.

Her body was found May 7 by a woman who had taken a break from driving on state Highway 121 near Lake Berryessa to walk her dog. Fairfield police said Phuong's body had been there for at least several days.

The investigation into Le's death is continuing.
