Baby Hospitalized After Being Bitten on Head by Dog

An infant was taken to a hospital after being bitten by a dog in San Francisco's North of Panhandle neighborhood Wednesday morning, a fire spokeswoman said.

The incident was reported around 8 a.m. in the 800 block of Masonic Avenue, San Francisco fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said. The dog is a mastiff-mix and was locked in a room after the incident.

The baby was bitten on the head and was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, Talmadge said.
