Bay Area Athletes to Appear in ESPN Magazine's “Body” Issue

The country is about to see a lot more of Colin Kaepernick

ESPN the Magazine's annual "Body" issue will feature several Bay Area athletes, including San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Tight End Vernon Davis, along with Olympic gold medalist and South Bay-native Kerri Walsh-Jennings.

Some of the pictures were released Tuesday.

You can see them below to the left.

Kaepernick posed naked for at least two separate photo shoots. One inside in a studio and the other at a rocky beach.

Davis poses with a handful of footballs inside and with a helmet to cover is private parts on the field at Candlestick Park.

The magazine is scheduled to hit newstands on Friday.

In an ESPN video (see below), Kaepernick explains why he wants to be different, why he's uncomfortable with his celebrity status and why he thinks about the Super Bowl loss to Baltimore everyday.
