Bay Area Housing, Transportation Plan Met With Opposition

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission says by 2040 another 2 million people will move to the Bay Area.

Authorities have in place a plan that would require the nine Bay Area counties to add more than 180,000 housing units for people of all income levels. The housing would also need to be located near transportation to help reduce green house gases.

That plan is met with fierce opposition.
