Berkeley Pot Dispensary Shuts Down

Pot clinic under pressure from the feds

A Berkeley marijuana dispensary, under pressure from the feds, is now closed.

The Berkeley Patients Group shut down Monday night, according to the Bay Area News Group,  for being too close to two schools: the Center for Early Intervention on Deafness and another school called Ecole Billingue de Berkeley.

City and state laws require dispensaries to be at least 600 feet away from any school.

The dispensary opened its doors before those laws were put into place.

It had been in business for 13 years.
