A bicyclist died Wednesday after she crashed into the side of a van on state Highway 35 near Woodside and just west of Portola Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officials said the 50-year-old woman at about 1:30 p.m. was riding northbound on Skyline Boulevard when she crashed into the side of a delivery van. The cyclist, a Woodside resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the van, a 22-year-old Fremont man, is cooperating with police in the investigation and it does not appear drugs or alcohol contributed to the accident.
A sig-alert was issued by the CHP at 2:17 p.m. All lanes have since been re-opened, police said.
