Big Rig Crash Closes Eastbound Lanes of SR 12 in Solano County

A big rig crashed and spilled dirt onto eastbound State Route 12 in Solano County on Tuesday, prompting the California Highway Patrol to close the roadway.

The CHP issued a Sig-alert around 11:20 a.m. when the truck rolled over and landed on its side, blocking both eastbound lanes near Interstate 80.

Caltrans crews were called to the scene to clean up the dirt, a CHP log said, noting that diesel fuel was also leaking from the vehicle.

It remains unclear when SR 12 will reopen.

Further details were not immediately available.
