The new bike path on the Bay Bridge is temporarily closing.
Caltrans said that the next step in demolishing the old section of the Bay Bridge includes torch cutting and burning of steel.
Those activities create smoke and shouldn't be breathed in.
In the interest of Safety, Caltrans is closing the bike path that runs on the new eastern span of the new Bay Bridge from Monday to April 1.
