The Santa Clara County Coroner is working to release the identity of the man whose body was found Wednesday morning near some bushes on Capitol Avenue, but San Jose police say the death doesn't appear to be suspicious at this point.
Officer Jose Garcia said police responded to a call of a person down on Capitol Avenue, just north of McKee Road, near a shopping center, about 8:20 a.m. Paramedics tried to save him, Garcia said, but couldn't. He was declared dead at the scene.
Garcia said the man appeared to be in his adult and appears to be in his 30s or 40s.
Medical examiners on Wednesday afternoon hadn't released his name because they hadn't been able to notify his family.
