The body found in a South Bay park earlier this month has been identified.
A hiker noticed the body at the bottom of a steep hill at Ed Levin County Park Saturday Sept. 19. It took a full day to remove the body and several more days to identify the remains through fingerprints.
The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department idetifies the man as Rendon Alejandro, 31, or Milpitas.
Alejandro had been reported missing by his family in late June.
The cause of death is still to be determined. Investigators are waiting for the autopsy which could take several weeks.
