A boil water notice, that affected about 100 homes, has been lifted for an East San Jose neighborhood.
The San Jose Water Company said it spent the past week flushing the water main and taking samples. Those samples came back clean both Friday and Saturday.
The water had tested positive for E. coli.
Officials believe a dead animal may have gotten into a water pipe and caused the problem.
