NBC Bay Area has learned that a woman successfully fought off a carjacker in downtown Oakland Tuesday.
Armed with a handgun and a set of scary eyes, a robber made his mark on a Walnut Creek gas station Sunday night.
Police say a man in a motorcycle helmet demanded money from a Chevron clerk around 9:30 p.m. at 2329 N. Main Street.
The suspect was described as a black man, 6 feet tall with large, bulging eyes.
He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, wire-rimmed glasses and a black motorcycle helmet with a clear visor and a sticker on the back bearing the word "Fuel."
Police brought in the K-9 unit to track the escape path. The dog was able to follow the trail but lost the scent after a few blocks.
No one was hurt in the robbery.
