    Police said they have taken into custody a burglary suspect who barricaded himself in a South San Jose home Friday evening. Scott Budman reports. (Published Friday, Jan. 29, 2016)

    Police said they have taken into custody a burglary suspect who barricaded himself in a South San Jose home Friday evening.

    The suspect was inside a home in the 5500 block of Harvard Drive, just north of Blossom Hill Road and east of Dartmouth Middle School, according to police.

    Officers had responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 3000 block of Franela Drive at about 1:20 p.m., police said.

    Arriving officers saw the suspect leave in a car, police said.

    Investigators were able to identify the suspect and tracked him down to his Harvard Drive home, according to police.
