A minor accident involving a school bus sent a San Francisco Unified School District student to the hospital for evaluation this morning,  a district spokeswoman said.

The California Highway Patrol received word of an accident at Seventh Avenue and Lincoln Way shortly before 8:30 a.m.

CHP Officer Kevin Kroncke said initial reports indicated that four vehicles were involved in the crash and that several people had suffered  minor injuries.

School district spokeswoman Gentle Blythe said the bus was on its way to Lowell High School when the crash happened and that there were four  students on board. She said the bus driver had described the accident as a  fender-bender.

One student was transported to a hospital to be evaluated but did not appear to be seriously injured, Blythe said.
