California drivers could be in for a big treat by Halloween.
Analysts said gas prices are expected to drop 40 to 45 cents per gallon between now and the end of October. They said gas prices have dropped around this time of year for the past five years.
But they will drop even more this year because of what has been a light hurricane season, an easing of tensions in the Middle East and refinery fixes at home in 2013.
The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in California is just over $4, according to AAA.
The only state where a gallon of gasoline averages more than California is Hawaii.
