An earthquake that hit off the far Northern California coast Friday morning was stronger than first reported.

After reviewing its data, the U.S. Geological Survey says a quake that hit a little before 6:00 had a magnitude of 5.8. The initial magnitude of the quake was first thought to be 5.4.

The quake hit about 150 miles west of Eureka.

Police in Eureka say they had no reports of any damage or injuries.
